j-fiber is a 100% privately owned, Jena, Germany based company. Founded in May 2004 it took over the operation of the insolvent german affiliate of FiberCore Inc. in Jena, Germany. Managing Director is Lothar Brehm.
Effective January 1st, 2007 the german Leoni AG holds 51% shares of j-fiber GmbH.
