500µm coated fiber

j- fiber offers all of its standard Singlemode fiber with enlarged coating option.

 

The dual layer acrylate has been especially developed to guarantee long-term performance and reliability. The easy strippable coating material is user friendly and compatible in all cable constructions. Featuring a coating diameter of 500µm the fiber can be operated at temperatures of –60° up to 85° C.
 

Temperature Behavior of 500µm fiber
 
500µm fiber can be produced in two different ways: either the final coating of 500µm thickness is applied during drawing of the fiber or the standard 250µm fiber is off-line buffered and receives a second buffer layer to final 500µm diameter. The choice of the corresponding coating and buffer materials is critical and influences the later performance of the fiber.
