PSHC Pure Silica Hard Clad 200/300 low OH fiber is now available with an enhanced design featuring a protective fluorine-doped silica layer around the core glass for deployment in a wide wavelength range. The new design results in an industry leading low attenuation at highest reliability in even the most demanding environmental conditions.
As a fiber for demanding industry applications, PSHC provides for high laser damage threshold and fatigue resistance. The fiber’s large core diameter allows for easy handling and high coupling efficiency to LED and laser sources. The special low index polymer cladding ensures high temperature stability and allows the use of Crimp & Cleave technology. Its easy strippable buffer material supports fast and easy connectivity and enhanced productivity in subsequent connectorization.

PSHC is now being offered with two alternative 500µm buffer options: PSHC with ETFE buffer material is the perfect choice for harsh environments as it provides highest reliability in ambience with high or low temperatures and humidity. PSHC with TPA buffer material is ideal for the production of LSZH cables for indoor application.
