j-fiber GmbH and its subsidiaries j-plasma GmbH and FiberCore Machinery are based in Jena, Germany. Our scope of business is the design, manufacturing and marketing of high performance Multimode and Singlemode optical fibers, preforms and high purity silica materials which serve advanced telecom/datacom cabling and specialty applications markets. Here we are among the top worldwide suppliers with sustained solid business. j-fiber is committed to integrate and control the full fiber making value chain from preforms to fiber drawing and process machinery to guarantee for best performance fiber products. With our high-purity fused silica we also deliver the main material for optics and laser applications.

Our expertise and background

Our company has more than 30 years expertise in leading-edge optical fibers manufacturing and precision engineering and goes back to the pioneer works of Carl Zeiss, Otto Schott and Ernst Abbe.

Our certified facilities and capabilities

At our facilities in Jena, Germany, j-fiber GmbH and its subsidiaries j-plasma and FiberCore Machinery we operate our own MCVD and plasma based processes. Since fall 2010 we manufacture high-purity synthetic fused silica. j-fiber maintains high-volume draw tower capacities, cleanroom facilities and a vast quality control infrastructure. All j-fiber group companies are DIN ISO 9001 and 14001 certified. j-fiber is QPL listed supplier and product approved by the US Department of Defense according to their MIL-STD 790 (Facility Certification) and MIL-PRF-49291 (Product Certification).
In addition we have been successfully audited according to EMAS II and fulfill the RoHS and REACH safety regulations.

Since 2007 j-fiber has been a member of the LEONI Group, a large global supplier of wires, cables and wiring systems to the automotive, transport, communications and infrastructure sectors.
